We will first present a work about justification of the Prandtlansatz for the MHD system when the initial tangential magnetic field is not degenerate on the boundary. And then we will discuss the life span and global existence of smooth solutions to some boundary layer systems derived from MHD system. The talk includes some recent joint with ChengjieLiu and FengXie.
